Michael Hutchinson makes it a full set!
A brilliant ride in the National 12 Hour Championship saw Michael win his fifth TT Championship of the year. He becomes the first rider in history to win national championships over 10, 25, 50, 100 miles and 12 hours in one season. Of course Michael was using his Speedplay pedals and Northwave Aerator Race shoes during the 12 hour event for the ultimate in performance and comfort.

Tim Don wins his third World Cup race!
Tim Don won his third ITU World Cup of the year (Cornerbrook, 17 July 2005). It moves him to No.2 in the World. He had a great swim, out the water in 3rd place, felt very comfortable throughout the undulating bike and cruised the last two laps of the run having broken his nearest challenger (Plata) at around 5km. Tim uses (Jim Walker) Speedplay pedals. He races on Continental tyres. Latest news of the Don can be found by following this link.

Speedplay proving their worth Tour de France 2005
Phonak's Oscar Pereiro climbed, chased down and sprinted (his Speedplays) to a well-deserved victory on Stage 16 of the Tour. And after an epic stage 15 in the mountains Ivan Basso climbed to second overall in the 2005 Tour De France. Ivan uses Speedplay Zero pedals. You can be sure there'll be no chance of Ivan inadvertently pulling his feet out of his pedals like some of the other contenders who use other pedal systems. Speedplay Zeros are ultra secure and won't let 'van down.

National 50km Team TT (Sunday 3rd July) - 1,2,3 for Speedplay pedals
1st. Recycling.co.uk - another national championship for Speeplay, the third in two weekends!!
2nd. API Metro - Michael Hutchinson (and his Speedplays) led his team to yet another medal.
3rd. De Rosa RT - a fantastic performance from our team of Matt Bottrill, Julian Ramsbottom and Andy Collis secured a much prized bronze medal.

Triple National Championship wins for Speedplay
Last weekend Speedplay riders won no less than 3 National Championship Gold medals. In the mens Road Race Championship Russell Downing underlined his excellent form with a fantastic win. Likewise in the womens race Nicole Cooke won her sixth womens road race title in fine style. Nicole was also wearing her Limar 909 helmet.
  In the National 50 TT championship on Saturday Michael Hutchinson repeated his success of last year and added the 50 title to the 10 and 25 titles he has already won this year. In the same race De Rosa RT riders Matt Bottrill and Julian Ramsbottom both had excellent top ten finishes. Matt secured 5th place with "Rambo" just 2 places behind in 7th.
  These results are futher proof that Speedplay pedals are the winning choice.

Loughborough dominate BUSA Champs - Speedplay 1st & 2nd!
In a useful warm up to the domestic and international seasons, Loughborough's men dominated the British University's Championships at St Mary's, Wiltshire. National Sprint Champion, Will Clarke (57:36 min), was joined on the podium by team mates Mark Bruce (58:02) and Daniel Plews (58:45). Will and Mark use (and win with) Speedplay pedals.

De Rosa RT team victorious again
Riders Mat and Andy of the De Rosa RT scored an impressive win in a recent two-up time trial.

Jim Walker is passionate about cycle racing...
We've always been keen to get involved with the grass roots of cycling and we have been supporting up and coming riders since we started. Karl Strugnell has gone from promising talent to riding with a Belgian team in 2004. He will still be racing for the Jim Walker RT when he's in the UK, but this is a massive step up for him and we are all very proud of what he has achieved. The team has a bunch of talented young riders who get plenty of support. We also sponsor some individuals with other bits and bobs - we have a long term attitude to sponsorship and like to think we do our bit. Look for our involvement to continue throughout 2005.
